General Information
It is believed that this memorial once adorned the walls of Altincham
Town Hall. It is hoped that it will be returned there in the near
future.

Incorporating parts of the Old Altrincham UDC Coat of Arms and the
Cheshire Coat of Arms, it was sculpted by Wood Carver - Joseph
Phillips, who was born at Southport in 1867. In 1901 he was a
boarder at 30 Hart Street, Altrincham.
