General Information
The Memorial was voluntarily designed by Herbert Harold Brown, FRIBA,
of 25 Beaufort Avenue, Brooklands and Brazennose Street, Manchester.

The wooden grave cross was retrieved from the grave of an unknown
soldier from the Western Front when the original wooden grave markers
were replace with the Portland Stone Headstones. It was dedicated on
Palm Sunday 25th March 1934. My thanks to Michael Riley for this
information.
