Born during the September quarter 1920 in the Bucklow R.D. - ref: 8a/339,
the youngest son of John & Mary Jane Bosson (nee Banks).

The youngest of three sons and one daughter, John was a chorister at St.
Mary's Church.  Also a member of the Central Old Scholars Association and
the Stage Society.

He had 5 years experience with diesel engines having been employed at
Messrs. Russell Newbury at Altrincham. 

Described as a Petty Officer in the local newspaper, he joined H.M. Flotila
of Motor Launches. 

Motor Mechanic - reported as being 'missing, presumed dead' in the local
newspaper dated 8th November 1940.  The Motor Launch was sunk by a mine off
the Humber coast.
