Born during the December quarter 1893 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/800,
the eldest son of Charles & Emma Bullock (nee Petts).  Baptised at St.
John's P.C., Altrincham on the 12th October 1894.

1901 Census - Manchester Road, Altrincham (Between Bridgewater House and
the Post Office & Station House.   Son - aged: 7 - born: Ardwick,
Manchester.   Head of household - Charles Bullock - Married - aged: 28 -
occ: Butcher - born: Openshaw, Manchester.   Also - Emma Bullock - Wife -
aged: 30 - born: Ardwick.  Plus his twin brother and 2 younger sisters.

Attended the Rigby Memorial School, Broadheath.

1911 Census - 143 Manchester Road, Broadheath.  Son - aged: 17 - occ:
Apprentice Motor Engineer - born: Manchester.    Son - aged: 7 - born:
Ardwick, Manchester.   Head of household - Charles Bullock - Married -
aged: 38 - occ: Butcher (Shopkeeper) - born: Manchester.   Also - Emma
Bullock - Wife - aged: 39 - occ: Assisting in business - born: Manchester. 
Plus his twin brother and 2 younger sisters, 1 servant and maternal uncle.

Married Mary Ethel Smallwood (registered only as Ethel Smallwood) during
the December quarter 1914 in the Chorlton R.D. - ref: 8c/1422.

He enlisted on the 26/12/1915.

MIC - only confirms his name & number, etc, it does not state when he went
overseas.   Awarded only the BWM and VM, confirming that he could not have
gone overseas until 1916.

Died in hospital of Malaria and Dysentery.  Death reported in the
31/01/1919 edition of the Altrincham Guardian.   At the time of his death,
his twin brother - Ernest Bullock, was serving in France.

Depending upon whose figures you use, more men died of disease in Kenya,
than in battle.
