Altrincham.     Head of household - George Oliver - Married - aged: 28 -
occ: Gardener - born: Prestwich, Lancashire.   Also Maria A. Oliver - Wife
- aged: 28 - born: Mayfield, Staffordshire.     Plus 2 sisters.

His father died in 1895, aged: 31.

1901 Census - No Trace.    His widowed mother now was residing at 16 Bridge
Street, Altrincham along with her two duaghters.

1911 Census - Tempe Military Barracks, Bloemfontein, Orange Free State,
South Africa.    Private with the 6th Dragoon Guards - aged: 23 - born:
Altrincham.

4th Cavalry Brigade.  Household Cavalry & Cavalry of the Line (inc.
Yeomanry & Imperial Camel).

In a letter home to his Sister who had asked how many Germans he had
accounted for, he replied, "Quite a few".    He died at one of the French
Clearing Stations of a gunshot wound to the head (sniper ?).

Death reported in the 09/03/1915 edition of the Altrincham Guadian.
