only child of Thomas Robert Gillett & Margaret Parker (nee Murphy).

1921 Census - 56, Leigh Road, Hale.   Son - aged: 3 - born: Hale.   Head of
household - Thomas Robert Gilbert Parker - Married - aged: 48 - occ:
Draughtsman (Printing Machinery) for the Linotype & Macluning Ltd, Printing
Machinery, Broadheath.- born: Preston, Lancashire.   Also - Margaret Parker
- Wife - aged: 39 - born: Widnes, Lancashire.

Attended Stoneyhurst College.  A playing member of Sale RUFC.

His father died in 1930, aged: 57.

1939 National Registration - 56 Leigh Road, Hale     Son - Born on the 13th
October 1913 - Single - occ: Secretary & Cashier To Engineering Firm that
Reconditions Automobile Engines.   Head of household - Margaret Parker -
Born on the 22nd July 1880 - Widowed - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties.

Manchester R.D. - ref: 8d/1163.  

Originally joined the South Lancashire Rgt as a Private - went to Sandhurst
Military College and was commissioned in the 5th KOR Rgt.

Death reported in the 1st September 1944 edition of the Sale & Stretford
Guardian. 

CWGC list his widow as living at Middop, Yorkshire.   Local newspaper
states that she was living at Haslingden.    Left a widow and 1 son.

M.I. "Pray for the repose of the soul of a beloved husband and father -
Rest in Peace".

His widow married a William West at Liverpool in 1949.
