Mary Smith (nee Moore).

The 31/05/1918 edition of the local newspaper reports that he is missing
and asks for news of him.

Commemorated on the Family Grave A.2408 Sale (Brooklands) Cemetery (per
M&LFHS) - In loving memory of Samuel SMITH of Sale, who died March 28th
1911 aged 61 years. Also Mary, his wife, who died Feb. 6th 1927 aged 75
years. (verse). Also Pte. Harry SMITH 63562, 16th Cheshire Regt., son of
the above, killed in France March 24th 1918 aged 31 years. (verse).

His father Samuel died 28/03/1911 aged 61 years and his mother Mary died
06/02/1927 aged 75 years.
