Death reported in the 26/10/1917 edition of the AAltirncham Guardian.

SDGW states that he died on the 12/10/18 and that his number was 27259.

Quite probable that he is the E. Carter on the Northenden Cenotaph, as post
War, his widow is recorded as residing on Spath Road, Northenden.
