Joined the Metro-Vicker's Company as an Office Boy in the Newcastle upon Tyne Office in September 1939. Joined the RNVR as a Midshipman in November 1939 and later posted to the Submarine Service. Promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in January 1943. Accidentally killed whilst a Prisoner of War in Italy in April 1944. M.I. - In loving memory". | |||
