Plus 5 elder siblings and 2 domestic servants. 1891 Census - Painter's Shop, High Street, Holywell, Flintshire. Son - aged: 10 - Scholar - born: Flintshire. Head of household - Thomas Llloyd - Married - aged: 53 - occ: Plumber, Glazier & Painter - born: Flintshire. Also - Mary C. Llloyd - Wife - aged: 42 - born: Denbighshire. Plus 2 elder siblings. Posted to Grove Park on the 13th December 1916, then to Isleworth on the 30th. Served with the 491 Motor Transport Company Army Service Corps attached to XI Corps, Household Artillery. Died of Wounds at the 7th General Hospital, St. Omer, France with injuries to his head, buttocks and chest following a shell burst. Death reported in the 09/10/1917 edition of the Altrincham Guardian. CWGC lists his initials as H.J.T. Memorial. Buried together with Private E. Tunnicliffe in the Souvenir Cemetery. Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1918. |
