Educated at Sale High School , Rossell School and Manchester University. B.Sc (Tech). In a Signal Compant attd to the Howe Bn of the RND. Parents received a letter form him on the 17/06/1915 stating that he was well. Enlisted September 1914 and was trained at Deal, was then drafted first to Egypt, then Gallipoli. Death reported in the 09/07/1915 edition of the Altrincham Guardian. Listed in the Guardian Year Book - Roll of Honour for 1916, which states that he was serving with the Royal Engineers, (not the R.M.Eng's). Commemorated on he family gravestone in Sale Cemetery - L.1184. | |||
