Born during the September quarter 1871 in the Salford R.D. - ref: 8d/29,
the son of Thomas & Mary Siddall (nee Holmes).   Baptised at St. George's
P.C. Altrincham on the 24th May 1888 (aged: 17).

Pendleton, Lancashire    Head of household - Thomas Siddall - Married -
aged: 35 - occ: unemployed - born: Rostherne, Cheshire.   Also Mary Siddall
-  Wife - aged: 44 - occ: Newsagent - born: Lawrence Holme, Cumberland.   
Plus 2 younger sisters.

As a boy, he entered the Post Office service at Altrincham and worked for
them until he enlisted in February 1915.

1891 Census - 1 Princess Terrace, Stockport Road, Altrincham.    Son -

household - Thomas Siddall - Married - aged: 45 - occ: Newsagent - born:
Rostherne, Cheshire.   Also Mary Siddall -  Wife - aged: 44 - born:
Lawrence Holme, Cumberland.    Plus 2 younger sisters and 1 lodger.

1901 Census - 10, Stockport Road, Altrincham.    Son - aged: 29 - occ:
Postman - born: Pendleton, Lancashire.   Head of household - Mary Siddall -
 Widow - aged: 64 - born: Wigton, Cumberland.    Plus 2 younger sisters.

His father - Thomas Siddall died in 1898, aged: 52.

Married Fanny Holmes on the 9th May 1908 at St. George's P.C., Altrincham
the marriage being registered during the June quarter 1908 in the Bucklow
R.D. - ref: 8a/343.    

1911 Census - 10 Stockport Road Altrincham.   Head of household - Married -
aged: 39 - occ: Postman - born: Pendleton, Lancashire.   Also - Fanny
Siddall - Wife - aged: 59 - born: Bowdon.    Plus a 2 year old daughter and
a 15 year old boarder.

Died of Heart Disease.  Death reported in the 10th January 1919 edition of
the  Altrincham Guardian, that states that he was with the 19th Western Bn
- Rifle Brigade.     attd Postal Sect. Royal Engineers.

Left a widow and two children.

Pension Record.    Dependent - Mrs. Fanny Siddall, 10 Stockport Road,
Altrincham.    Paid a £7 Gratuity on the 8th January 1919. No further
details  of any weekly pension.
