The 24/03/44 edition of the local newspaper reports that he attended Sale Central School and Derby Technical School and was employed as an Apprentice Engineer at the Rolls Royce Works, Derby. He joined the RAF in July 1942 and that as a Leading Airman, he was posted to Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada where he gained his wings. Now (03/44), a Pilot Officer.  | |||
