Born during the June quarter 1924 in the Barton upon Irwell R.D. - ref: 8c/955, the son of John William & Clara Phillips (nee Phillips). 1939 National Registration. No Trace - probably already serving in the British Army. His parents were then residing at 14 Spennithorne Road, Urmston. John W. Baker - Born on the 6th August 1897 - Married - occ: Locomotive Fitter. Clara Baker - Born on the 6th May 1897 - Married - occ: Unpaid Domestic Duties. John P. Baker - Born on the 17th October 1922 - occ: Junior Clerk. There was one redacted record at this address - this is probably their daughter - Alice D. Baker, born in 1928. One of ten church member who are commemorated on a silver Egg Server at the Sale Presbyterian Church, now incorporated into the Sale United Reform Church, Montague Road, Sale.
