Born at Glasgow in 1918, the third son of James & Anna Jeanette Geddes. Attended Altrincham Grammar School. A keen tennis, table tennis and badminton player. Employed at Lloyds Bank in Altrincham. He had 2 brothers also on active service - one in the Army, the other the RAF. Death reported in the 17/04/1942 edition of the Sale & Stretford Guardian. Commemorated on the private family gravestone in Hale Cem, which refers to him as Douglas. His father, James died 07/11/1938 aged 61 years and his mother, Anna Jeanette died 08/12/1960 aged 81 years.  | |||
