Born 22/12/1920. Attended St. George's School, Altrincham. His parents were Caretakers at Bowdon Schools before moving down to Chertsey, Surrey. His grand-parents were still living at 25 Grosvenor Rd, Altrincham. His grandfather was a member of the Old 3rd Cheshire Military Band. Joined the RAFVR in the summer of 1939. A Wireless Operator/Air Gunner, he was killed on his 22nd birthday. His younger brother, Cecil was a sergeant pilot serving in India. Also mentioned in the BM&D (Roll of Honour) section of the 24/12/1943 edition of the local newspaper which states that his parents lived at Allostock, Cheshire (not Chertsey??? His grand parents lived at 25 Grosvenor Rd, Altrincham. M.I. - "Beloved by all".  | |||
